From our porch to yours

Betsy, Ginny & Sue began on a wooden porch in a small town at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, where three sisters have been sharing one blanket and one opinion for most of their lives.

Our porch faces east, which means the mornings are cold and the afternoons are kind. That is how it goes here from September until March: you need a sweater at breakfast and you are peeling it off by lunch. For years the stores gave us two choices, a coat made for Minnesota or a dress made for June, and nothing for the five months in between.

So the three of us started choosing for ourselves. Ginny came home from Atlanta with an eye for what flatters. Sue can tell you in one second whether something will fit over a sweater. And Betsy makes sure it survives a Sunday lunch with the whole family. If a piece passes all three of us, it goes in the shop.

What We Believe

At Betsy, Ginny & Sue, every piece is chosen with one question in mind: would we wear this on the porch tomorrow?

We believe in layers that go on and come off easily, because the weather here changes its mind by noon. In soft, flattering pieces that look put together at church and at the grocery store. And in honest quality at fair prices, with room for a layer and for dessert.
