One last thank you from the porch.

Our porch faces east, which means the mornings are cold and the afternoons are kind. That is how it goes in the Blue

Ridge from September until March: you need a sweater at breakfast and you are peeling it off by lunch.

So we choose the way we dress. Ginny came home from Atlanta with an eye for what flatters. Sue can tell in one

second whether something fits over a sweater. And Betsy makes sure it survives a Sunday lunch with the whole family.
